This look at is everything. IWC pilot watch - you have to deserve it. It is about legacy, movement and style. Swell pilot watch
The louring dialed IWC Pilot 3717, in spite of its minimalist design, it is one of the most popular IWC watches ever made. It is the newer and bigger adaptation (42mm case) of the former 3706 it replaced. Its bracelet is still one of the most comfortable bracelets ever build.It is powered by IWC thinness 79320 (highly modified ETA/Valjoux 7750) with 44 hours of power put aside, chronograph with 30-minute and 12-hour dials, 28800 vph, small second and day/lover display. The watch also has a soft iron inner case magnetic field guard, domed antireflective sapphire crystal, 60m water resistant and Super-LumiNova layered hands and markers (3, 6, 9 & 12).This is a great pilot watch with an outstanding clean look. If on a budget, gauge the Damasko DC56 or Sinn 356.

The artistic every-day watch
The IWC Aeronaut Chrono is an elegant and sporty every-day watch. The large white dials and numbers give it a single look and also makes it easy to read and practical - especially with the added features of a year/date display. I also own a Rolex Submariner but I find myself wearing this one much more often. The sapphire glass is also less reflective than the Submariner thanks to unexpectedly anti-reflective coatings. I've had this watch for 2.5 years with no problems. Highly recommended!

Bonny watch, manufacturing issues and poor service
I have wanted an IWC for a big, long time and finally this Christmas, my wife made it happen for me with the Portofino Automatic. We had to stoppage a while because IWC had manufacturing issues and shut down production for several months in 2011, but around Christmas time one at the last moment popped up and she snagged it quickly.Without a doubt, this is a gorgeous watch. It is a little noisy, but undeniably that's the self-winding mechanism and after a couple weeks I grew to think of that as more of a cool advertise than a nuisance. That period, from 2 weeks in to 8 weeks in was the glory time with me and my IWC and I was VERY happy with the watch. Then something penurious. The crown and stem became detached from the watch. No damage to the watch, just at the end of February, I needed to button up the day and when I pulled on the crown, the WHOLE thing came out. I was kind of surprised, but honestly thought it had valid become unscrewed somewhere inside the casing. I took it to a repair...
