30 Year Look at
After much investigation, I purchased an Omega Speedmaster in 1968 as an 18th birthday present to myself. There were not many chronographs available at that time (Rolex, Breitling, Omega and purposes others I no longer remember). To my surprise, that summer (or next), Omega began agressive advertising that it's babysit for was the official timepiece of the Apollo Astronauts. It reaffirmed my choice. Thirty years later, it is still the superlative watch I own (including my Submariner). My only complaint is that I have gone through three or four bracelets/straps. Ironically, a new metal bracelet payment more than the original cost of my Speedmaster ($185). Interestingly, no Rolex owner has ever commented on my Submariner, but colleague Speedmaster owners always start up a conversation with each other. I cannot comment on the new Speedmasters, but mine has been dropped, thrown, drowned, icy, heated, shaken and abused for 30 years and still runs great. I recommend mill cleaning, vacuum sealing...

Prominent Watch with Proud and Unique History
This is a delightful watch with a legendary history and phenomenal following. It has been one of the most popular watches ever made by Omega since its debut in 1957. The common Speedmaster Professionals come in multiple versions, but are for the most part little changed in its over 50 year individual.Why is it amazing?During the 1960's space race with the Soviets, NASA did not have the time to announce an inclined competition from all interested watch companies to design a watch suitable for space move. This would have required bids from different manufacturers with the eventual award of a government contract. NASA engineers in Spartan clothes went to downtown Houston and entered various high end stores and purchased exhilarated-end (i.e. expensive) manual wind wristwatches from 10 different brands, such as Omega, Rolex, etc. This was all done in covertness and none of the watch manufacturers, such as Omega, were aware of this. In seventh heaven with watch but...
...where are the pledge cards? The red ones that come in the white leatherette holder. It is empty. My guess, on purpose. My unsuitable was through Amazon, not Watchmaxx whatever that is, but I suspect the warranty cards will be missing regardless of who it is from. Upon making enquires, I have been briefed that it is a two year warranty through Amazon's own version of such - so you are basically saving money by chancing it with this. There is also no 'red dot' on the back of the keep a sharp lookout for case which apparently means it has been opened but I have been told by Amazon that this is because it has been "checked by them". The red dot is part of the 'collection' attitude and resale drops without it so keep this in mind. I at first thought I may have purchased a re-comissioned watch which would have probably served me truthful for trying to save a few bucks ($1000) by buying on here. Despite/regardless of these issues, the supervise is beautiful. It wears a little small in comparison to today's mens watches...

Dignity Time Piece
I advance diving watches usually as they are 'wear & forget' no need to worry about them, but as my favourite of them is an Omega Seamaster I was fatigued to this watch. I wear this watch for best and on the weekend when in civilised society! As it's waterproof to 100m, again, there's no needfulness to worry too much about it. It's a large faced watch so you really do need to see it on, so to speak, prior to buying. That said it isn't too bling, it's shape, colour and construction says 'under stated luxury, casually immaculate without being over flamboyant'. I relish wearing this watch, you can wear it with everything from chinos to a tux and it looks like it belongs. As a time bawling-out it is without comparison. It keeps excellent time as long as you wear it regularly or manually occur it every other day, don't worry if you don't though, just a quick wind and setting of the correct time and you're good to go. The Swiss activity is a joy to behold, from watching the second hand sweep, acurate to 0.25...

Each new Omega motion is tested on the wrist in existing Omega models, while various laboratory tests are conducted to influence temperature-resistance, shock-resistance and vibration-resistance.

A Superior
A look after for the collector who prizes the ideosyncratic.Omega has created a quirky day/date automatic (a big deal in the take in world) that isn't the price of an automobile. All automatics are a little less exact than quartz as far as timekeeping goes, but my speedmaster only gains about two minutes per month, and since I like using it, I don't mindful of re-setting it from time to time.The actual user manual is on-line, very specific and down about the controls.But if you have no fascination with the art of watchmaking and the "complications" of authentic, quality Swiss watchwork, go with a quartz; it's less "drudgery"...

Charming watch!
This is a glorious watch and looks absolutely better in person. This Speedmaster is part of the Michael Schumacher collection. The guard matches very well with sporty clothes, and even business attire. Its an attractive watch that looks its bonus, but not gaudy. The blue is deep enough to wear with a black suit, and the dials glow in the cheerless. It's an automatic watch so you will first have to wind the crown about 20 times to get it charged up and then wear it about 8 hours a day to keep the keep power going.I purchased this from Amazon at a discount compared to the shops at the mall. It comes with serial numbers laser inscribed, certificates, box, and if it should happen. The only thing you won't get is the Omega authorized dealer warranty card, but it's an authentic watch sold by Amazon, and Amazon offers a 2 year commitment if you buy it from them, meaning they have to be the seller and not a Z shop.I love it.

This is the most involved mechanical/automatic watch I own. I bought this exact model a little over 2 years ago from an authorized broker overseas. I remember debating over the blue versus black dial and eventually the smutty won. The detail on the dial and inner dials is amazing and complement each other well. This watch in this color is unofficially part of the Michael Schumacher store as well. Unofficial I think b/c there is no signature on the back but it shows up in his collection on Omega's website, at least it did awhile ago. There are 8 hands absolute: hour, minute, second, 24-hour, timer minute, timer hour, timer number two, and date hand. This chronograph does not keep elasped time but it does reset to zero instantly upon knob push. The month and day are easy to read but the date is difficult to read due to small indicator tip and busyness of the outer edge of the dial. Well-founded purchased this watch on another website for $1990.00+ free overnight shipping and also got a free Timberland scrutinize worth $95.00. I've owned a Tag Heuer Kirium and also loved that. This is my first time owning a Omega and so far this is a very considerable quality watch. I love the red and black face. I think my next watch will be an Omega Planet Loads. Nicest Watch, Worst Customer Support
I own the Omega Seamaster Chronograph, purchased it new in 1998. I've had it serviced by honest Omega Authorized Dealers every 2-3 years since new. In 2005, diving in San Carlos no more than 20 meters in detail, the watch sprung a leak. By the time I returned home the watch had remaining sea mollify with rust inside. I sent the watch to the corporate repair center after consultation with a consumer rep (The company is owned by Swatch). After several months and repeated inquiries, the watch was sent back to me un-repaired with no excuse. I again contacted customer service (another painful story within itself) and re-sent the watch. A year later (Yes, the patronize time took 12 months) after repeated letters, phone calls and a portentous letter from my attorney, they contacted me for permission to do the repair work. The estimate was nearly $1300 and they offered no deduction for the considerable inconvenience. I paid the fee and the repaired watch was returned to me as good as...

First-rate piece of machinery.
Bought this see about 1 month ago. I literally wore this watch on one wrist and the submariner on the other wrist at my jewlers for about 1 hour annoying to decide. Comfort, readability and style all won out and I bought the Omega Chrono Diver. This watch has an impulsive movement with a 44 hour power reserve. Love the blue face and the skeleton hands are very solitary and make using the chronograph a breeze and reading time very easy. This watch is very substantial/tedious so if you have small wrists it may not be the watch for your. Has great weight and balance to it. The watch looks model, I wear it to work (dress slacks and button up shirt) and with jeans and a T-shirt it still goes well.I assume that for the price you would be hard pressed to do much better.

I recently purchased this sit with, but I've no idea how to operate the chronograph feature. According to what I've read, the button at 2 o'clock starts it, and the 4 o'clock resets it.
