Wonderful Omega Watch From Amazon!!
Well, I speculation I was supposed to have this watch. I had always wanted a Seamaster Cronometer Automatic, but never saw myself spending this kind of boodle, not to mention the price at an authorized dealer. Amazon sent me an email a week or so ago that had exceptional 12 months no interest on select watches. I looked and looked and finally pulled the trigger on this bizarre blue face large size automatic. Actually, I ordered on July 31, 2009 and for $6.99 dividend with Amazon Prime had it at my door before 10:00 a.m. this morning. Amazon Studs Warranty/Support/Repair is questionable
I have in mind the watch is a work of art, very solid, and very well finished. Appears to keep very good time. My only concern with the absolute transaction has to do with Amazon warranty/support on the watch. I was having difficulty with getting the era to change correctly and initially thought there was a problem with the watch. I called Amazon to ask them about it and to inform them that there might be a problem with my watch. They said someone from the Jewelry dept at Amazon would call me the next day to address my concerns or send me a new inspect (I am within the 30 days of purchase). It has been 2 weeks, I am beyond my 30 days not for exchange and the Amazon Jewels dept has yet to call me. I have left another message. After much analysis, I purchased an Omega Speedmaster in 1968 as an 18th birthday present to myself. There were not many chronographs available at that time (Rolex, Breitling, Omega and indubitably others I no longer remember). To my surprise, that summer (or next), Omega began agressive advertising that it's keep one's eyes open for was the official timepiece of the Apollo Astronauts. It reaffirmed my choice. Thirty years later, it is still the with greatest satisfaction watch I own (including my Submariner). My only complaint is that I have gone through three or four bracelets/straps. Ironically, a new metal bracelet expenditure more than the original cost of my Speedmaster ($185). Interestingly, no Rolex owner has ever commented on my Submariner, but chap Speedmaster owners always start up a conversation with each other. I cannot comment on the new Speedmasters, but mine has been dropped, thrown, drowned, iced, heated, shaken and abused for 30 years and still runs great. I recommend works cleaning, vacuum sealing...

Walking on air with watch but...
...where are the bond cards? The red ones that come in the white leatherette holder. It is empty. My guess, on purpose. My organize was through Amazon, not Watchmaxx whatever that is, but I suspect the warranty cards will be missing regardless of who it is from. Upon making enquires, I have been au fait that it is a two year warranty through Amazon's own version of such - so you are basically saving money by chancing it with this. There is also no 'red dot' on the back of the scrutinize case which apparently means it has been opened but I have been told by Amazon that this is because it has been "checked by them". The red dot is part of the 'collection' id and resale drops without it so keep this in mind. I at first thought I may have purchased a re-comissioned watch which would have probably served me virtuousness for trying to save a few bucks ($1000) by buying on here. Despite/regardless of these issues, the clock is beautiful. It wears a little small in comparison to today's mens watches...

The watch I received was brand new in box - in an Omega red leather box, inside an Omega white cardboard box with directions, and well packaged in a larger box. No Omega warranty card or certificates - as expected. Watch and bracelet had all the waxy protective films in place. Watch has serial number on it.I let the watch run for a day, checked exactness (fine), then removed films. Sized the bracelet myself - again, there are several good sites that show you how. Get the better of Watch, Worst Customer Support
I own the Omega Seamaster Chronograph, purchased it new in 1998. I've had it serviced by unfeigned Omega Authorized Dealers every 2-3 years since new. In 2005, diving in San Carlos no more than 20 meters brilliancy, the watch sprung a leak. By the time I returned home the watch had remaining sea copiously with rust inside. I sent the watch to the corporate repair center after consultation with a client rep (The company is owned by Swatch). After several months and repeated inquiries, the watch was sent back to me un-repaired with no exposition. I again contacted customer service (another painful story within itself) and re-sent the watch. A year later (Yes, the second beat took 12 months) after repeated letters, phone calls and a threatening verbatim from my attorney, they contacted me for permission to do the repair work. The estimate was nearly $1300 and they offered no minimize for the considerable inconvenience. I paid the fee and the repaired watch was returned to me as good as...

Super piece of machinery.
Bought this vigilant about 1 month ago. I literally wore this watch on one wrist and the submariner on the other wrist at my jewlers for about 1 hour difficult to decide. Comfort, readability and style all won out and I bought the Omega Chrono Diver. This watch has an knee-jerk movement with a 44 hour power reserve. Love the blue face and the skeleton hands are very lone and make using the chronograph a breeze and reading time very easy. This watch is very prosperous/heavy so if you have small wrists it may not be the watch for your. Has great weight and balance to it. The watch looks deathless, I wear it to work (dress slacks and button up shirt) and with jeans and a T-shirt it still goes well.I suppose that for the price you would be hard pressed to do much better.

serial company was scratched off
I have been researching Omega Seamaster watches for join of months, and went to several authorized dealers in my local area. They usually offer <15% omit + tax. So it would be around $2900 if I buy from them. I was impressed by the price Amazon offered (~$800 saving), although I know that Amazon is not an authorized exchange (therefore, the Omega warranty is void). I recieved the watch 2 days after placing the order. It is beautiful and same as what I saw from the limited dealers. It came with authentic box and 3 cards (surprising! since I thought the warranty card would be missing. Of progress, the card is not filled with proper dealer names etc. so it is void technically). Unfortunately, when I intentionally examed the back of the watch, I found that the serial number on the watch was scatched off (or more precisely speaking: ruined). This comes from spending 2 years in watchmaking school, studying precisely under the guidance of a certified master swiss watchmaker who came here from Europe.
