serial calculate was scratched off
I have been researching Omega Seamaster watches for couple of months, and went to several authorized dealers in my nearby area. They usually offer <15% discount + tax. So it would be around $2900 if I buy from them. I was impressed by the price Amazon offered (~$800 compensatory), although I know that Amazon is not an authorized dealer (therefore, the Omega warranty is void). I recieved the watch 2 period after placing the order. It is beautiful and same as what I saw from the local dealers. It came with authentic box and 3 cards (surprising! since I meditating the warranty card would be missing. Of course, the card is not filled with proper dealer names etc. so it is blankness technically). Unfortunately, when I carefully examed the back of the watch, I found that the serial number on the watch was scatched off (or more in every way speaking: destroyed). I can see something, but it is fussy, and even with good magnification, you cannot read the numbers. So I cannot match the serial copy on the...

I am rather overbearing when it comes to luxury watches. This comes from spending 2 years in watchmaking school, studying instantly under the guidance of a certified master swiss watchmaker who came here from Europe. Watches, notably mid to high grade swiss watches, are a passion of mine. I am not loyal to a brand or a style or anything else. I conclude them for what they are, in terms of quality, function, construction, and style. Extravagant Omega Watch From Amazon!!
Well, I estimate I was supposed to have this watch. I had always wanted a Seamaster Cronometer Automatic, but never saw myself spending this kind of means, not to mention the price at an authorized dealer. Amazon sent me an email a week or so ago that had valued 12 months no interest on select watches. I looked and looked and finally pulled the trigger on this implausible blue face large size automatic. Actually, I ordered on July 31, 2009 and for $6.99 additionally with Amazon Prime had it at my door before 10:00 a.m. this morning. Amazon Studs Warranty/Support/Repair is questionable
I regard as the watch is a work of art, very solid, and very well finished. Appears to keep very good time. My only concern with the inviolate transaction has to do with Amazon warranty/support on the watch. I was having difficulty with getting the rendezvous to change correctly and initially thought there was a problem with the watch. I called Amazon to ask them about it and to tell them that there might be a problem with my watch. They said someone from the Jewelry dept at Amazon would call me the next day to address my concerns or send me a new look after (I am within the 30 days of purchase). It has been 2 weeks, I am beyond my 30 days not for exchange and the Amazon Jewels dept has yet to call me. I have left another message. Stick-to-it-iveness is a virtue!
I was a bit vexed that the silver dial would make it difficult to tell the time but my concerns were quickly dissolved once I received this marvellous watch; Omega has masterly created a subtle contrast with the dial, markers, and watch hands that must be seen to be respected: The hour and minute hands appear dark at most angles and rarely is the wearer grimacing to smell the background from hands positions. My only peeve (a small one) is the date spear which does take some feat to locate at times due to its slimness. In some very low light and dusk environments, it can be difficult to quickly word the time but it's not a deal breaker for me. The watch, an automatic, loses/gains such little just the same from time to time that it's not even worth mentioning--a testament to Omega's excellent movement quality control.The watch stands steep on the wrist but is not clumsy or uncomfortable. A skinned for for the collector who prizes the ideosyncratic.Omega has created a quirky day/date automatic (a big deal in the chaperon world) that isn't the price of an automobile. All automatics are a little less exact than quartz as far as timekeeping goes, but my speedmaster only gains about two minutes per month, and since I like using it, I don't chastise re-setting it from time to time.The actual user manual is on-line, very specific and entire about the controls.But if you have no fascination with the art of watchmaking and the "complications" of authentic, quality Swiss watchwork, go with a quartz; it's less "toil"...

Pleasing watch!
This is a fantabulous watch and looks absolutely better in person. This Speedmaster is part of the Michael Schumacher collection. The on the qui vive for matches very well with sporty clothes, and even business attire. Its an attractive watch that looks its quotation, but not gaudy. The blue is deep enough to wear with a black suit, and the dials glow in the brunette. It's an automatic watch so you will first have to wind the crown about 20 times to get it charged up and then wear it about 8 hours a day to keep the aplomb power going.I purchased this from Amazon at a discount compared to the shops at the mall. It comes with serial numbers laser inscribed, certificates, box, and event. The only thing you won't get is the Omega authorized dealer warranty card, but it's an authentic watch sold by Amazon, and Amazon offers a 2 year agreement if you buy it from them, meaning they have to be the seller and not a Z shop.I love it.

This is the most labyrinthine mechanical/automatic watch I own. I bought this exact model a little over 2 years ago from an authorized shopkeeper overseas. I remember debating over the blue versus black dial and eventually the crestfallen won. The detail on the dial and inner dials is amazing and complement each other well. This watch in this color is unofficially part of the Michael Schumacher gathering as well. Unofficial I think b/c there is no signature on the back but it shows up in his collection on Omega's website, at least it did awhile ago. There are 8 hands tot up: hour, minute, second, 24-hour, timer minute, timer hour, timer substitute, and date hand. This chronograph does not keep elasped time but it does reset to zero instantly upon knob push. The month and day are easy to read but the date is difficult to read due to small indicator tip and busyness of the outer edge of the dial. Unbiased purchased this watch on another website for $1990.00+ free overnight shipping and also got a free Timberland circumspect worth $95.00. I've owned a Tag Heuer Kirium and also loved that. This is my first time owning a Omega and so far this is a very drunk quality watch. I love the red and black face. I think my next watch will be an Omega Planet Bounding main.
