30 Year Flyover
After much inspect, I purchased an Omega Speedmaster in 1968 as an 18th birthday present to myself. There were not many chronographs available at that time (Rolex, Breitling, Omega and purposes others I no longer remember). To my surprise, that summer (or next), Omega began agressive advertising that it's chaperon was the official timepiece of the Apollo Astronauts. It reaffirmed my choice. Thirty years later, it is still the pre-eminent watch I own (including my Submariner). My only complaint is that I have gone through three or four bracelets/straps. Ironically, a new metal bracelet payout more than the original cost of my Speedmaster ($185). Interestingly, no Rolex owner has ever commented on my Submariner, but ally Speedmaster owners always start up a conversation with each other. I cannot comment on the new Speedmasters, but mine has been dropped, thrown, drowned, iced, heated, shaken and abused for 30 years and still runs great. I recommend mill cleaning, vacuum sealing...

Storied Watch with Proud and Unique History
This is a radiant watch with a legendary history and phenomenal following. It has been one of the most popular watches ever made by Omega since its debut in 1957. Glad with watch but...
...where are the agreement cards? The red ones that come in the white leatherette holder. It is empty. My guess, on purpose. My buy was through Amazon, not Watchmaxx whatever that is, but I suspect the warranty cards will be missing regardless of who it is from. Upon making enquires, I have been knowledgeable that it is a two year warranty through Amazon's own version of such - so you are basically saving money by chancing it with this. There is also no 'red dot' on the back of the regard case which apparently means it has been opened but I have been told by Amazon that this is because it has been "checked by them". The red dot is part of the 'collection' element and resale drops without it so keep this in mind. I at first thought I may have purchased a re-comissioned watch which would have probably served me lucid for trying to save a few bucks ($1000) by buying on here. Despite/regardless of these issues, the sit with is beautiful. It wears a little small in comparison to today's mens watches...

Dignity Time Piece
I espouse diving watches usually as they are 'wear & forget' no need to worry about them, but as my favourite of them is an Omega Seamaster I was pinched to this watch. I wear this watch for best and on the weekend when in civilised society! As it's waterproof to 100m, again, there's no shortage to worry too much about it. It's a large faced watch so you really do need to see it on, so to speak, prior to buying. That said it isn't too bling, it's chic, colour and construction says 'under stated luxury, casually immaculate without being over flamboyant'. I fancy wearing this watch, you can wear it with everything from chinos to a tux and it looks like it belongs. As a time identical it is without comparison. It keeps excellent time as long as you wear it regularly or manually load of old cobblers it every other day, don't worry if you don't though, just a quick wind and setting of the correct time and you're good to go. I leaning this watch
I didn't buy this sit with through Amazon because you can actually find it cheaper by simply calling an authorized Omega dealer and suggesting what you value is a fair price. Overall, I give this watch 5 stars. Sometimes I simply stare at it and think "wow, this keep one's eyes open for is beautiful." The movement is smooth and the self-winding mechanism actually has to some a bit of inertia behind it. There will be times that you'll move your arm suddently, and your wrist will gyrate for 15 seconds. At first I thought the awake to was a bit heavy, but now I don't give it a second thought. I also use the stopwatch much more frequently than I thought I would. Although I love the watch, there are a few small-time complaints (none of which bring my rating down):1) it's not always so easy to read the numerical date. Part of me wishes the be prepared had a date window instead of a hand that points to the date on the outer edge of the keep one's eyes open for. That said, having the day of the week listed was a must for me, and...

All automatics are a little less exact than quartz as far as timekeeping goes, but my speedmaster only gains about two minutes per month, and since I like using it, I don't be careful of re-setting it from time to time.The actual user manual is on-line, very specific and acute about the controls.But if you have no fascination with the art of watchmaking and the "complications" of authentic, quality Swiss watchwork, go with a quartz; it's less "industry"...

Comely watch!
This is a splendorous watch and looks absolutely better in person. This Speedmaster is part of the Michael Schumacher collection. The inspect matches very well with sporty clothes, and even business attire. Its an attractive watch that looks its sacrifice, but not gaudy. The blue is deep enough to wear with a black suit, and the dials glow in the mysterious. It's an automatic watch so you will first have to wind the crown about 20 times to get it charged up and then wear it about 8 hours a day to keep the keep power going.I purchased this from Amazon at a discount compared to the shops at the mall. It comes with serial numbers laser inscribed, certificates, box, and for fear that b if. The only thing you won't get is the Omega authorized dealer warranty card, but it's an authentic watch sold by Amazon, and Amazon offers a 2 year pledge if you buy it from them, meaning they have to be the seller and not a Z shop.I love it.

This is the most Byzantine mechanical/automatic watch I own. I bought this exact model a little over 2 years ago from an authorized relations overseas. I remember debating over the blue versus black dial and eventually the morose won. The detail on the dial and inner dials is amazing and complement each other well. This watch in this color is unofficially part of the Michael Schumacher amassment as well. Unofficial I think b/c there is no signature on the back but it shows up in his collection on Omega's website, at least it did awhile ago. There are 8 hands complete: hour, minute, second, 24-hour, timer minute, timer hour, timer double, and date hand. This chronograph does not keep elasped time but it does reset to zero instantly upon handle push. The month and day are easy to read but the date is difficult to read due to small pointer tip and busyness of the outer edge of the dial. I have been researching Omega Seamaster watches for connect of months, and went to several authorized dealers in my local area. They usually offer <15% reduction + tax. So it would be around $2900 if I buy from them. I was impressed by the price Amazon offered (~$800 saving), although I know that Amazon is not an authorized transactions (therefore, the Omega warranty is void). I recieved the watch 2 days after placing the order. It is beautiful and same as what I saw from the provincial dealers. It came with authentic box and 3 cards (surprising! since I thought the warranty card would be missing. Of class, the card is not filled with proper dealer names etc. so it is void technically). Unfortunately, when I intentionally examed the back of the watch, I found that the serial number on the watch was scatched off (or more precisely speaking: in shreds).
