I am rather obstinate when it comes to luxury watches. This comes from spending 2 years in watchmaking school, studying right away under the guidance of a certified master swiss watchmaker who came here from Europe. Watches, noticeably mid to high grade swiss watches, are a passion of mine. I am not loyal to a brand or a style or anything else. I consider them for what they are, in terms of quality, function, construction, and style. I have a match up of luxury watches - a Girard Perregaux that I use for formal occasions and a Tag Heuer for everyday use. The sword band on my Tag broke, and I used that as an excuse to finally upgrade. I considered a Rolex, Cartier (Roadster), Breitling, Omega, or another GP. Rolex makes great watches, but they're so ubiquitous with so many fakes floating around that it doesn't feel "extra". Hi, saw a Rolex Sea dweller 4000 at a upon with couer perpetual date not oyster. what does it mean?
i took a further look at it and i has the new serial edition on the inside edge of the case at the 6 o'clock position, under the crystal and below
I suppose that Oyster is the color of the face of the watch. If it was a shade other than white that would probably be what it meant. Sempiternal date means that it's got the date on the watch.

Ive recently seen a Rolex facsimile called the Sea-Dweller, unfortunatley its a 4000 dollar which is not something im preparded to spend. Im looking for a facsimile of this model that is affordable but is still a decent quality watch and wont fall into
No photocopy can match the quality of a Rolex. Also, the Sea-Dweller's main purpose of being is that it is water-resistant to 4000 feet. No carbon copy can come close to that.
