Tolerably watch, manufacturing issues and poor service
I have wanted an IWC for a prolonged, long time and finally this Christmas, my wife made it happen for me with the Portofino Automatic. We had to wait a while because IWC had manufacturing issues and segregate down production for several months in 2011, but around Christmas time one finally popped up and she snagged it promptly.Without a doubt, this is a gorgeous watch. It is a little noisy, but evidently that's the self-winding way and after a couple weeks I grew to think of that as more of a cool feature than a nuisance. That period, from 2 weeks in to 8 weeks in was the renown time with me and my IWC and I was VERY happy with the watch. Then something broke. The crown and stem became detached from the watch. No deface to the watch, just at the end of February, I needed to adjust the day and when I pulled on the crown, the WHOLE thing came out. I was approachable of surprised, but honestly thought it had just become unscrewed somewhere inside the casing. I took it to a into working order...

Wow what a bar-overtake!
I've been looking for an budget-priced timepiece like this for a long time now. I grew wary of wearing high priced watches when I am resigned to slum it in a lowly Bentley or Aston Martin. This on is perfect for that! Now I can blend into the same crowd that wears G-shocks and Rolexs! I find the faux leather to be a very strict touch! Almost looks real (scoffs, almost.) And it is somewhat accurate. But overall, I feel it could have been made degree cheaper in order to throw off the street urchins. Just the other day, I was minding my own business (And by that, I promise liquidating small business and sending jobs over to India, China, etc...) When some human being of non Anglo-Saxon origin begged me for money. I was appalled! Frightened even! I gave a look of put down to my bodyguard. Like a "You're not doing your job keeping this... Good-looking watch
This is an unequivocally amazing watch. Its style is both very sober and elegant. It enables you to know what time and what day it is, don't conjecture anything else. The black croco leather strap is also very well manufactured.Actually, this is a typical Baume et Mercier offering: fine, elegant, beautiful.

Complete fiasco - BEWARE when buying this.
Intial survey: (I wrote the day after I bought my 1st)stylish, elegant, understated, very thin, light weight, great buyhappy I bought it and honourable got one for my brotherUpdate -The watch is a few months old.Style wise - I love it.HOWEVER - I am concerned it might lacking back about 10min a week.I may have to return and repurchase - which is annoying - but smooth if done through amazon - I hope.2nd update -The examine definitely loses time. I looked down and thought I was on time - when in fact I was late - multiple times. Not what you upon from a new 1200$ watch. Further troubling is what I came to learn. Initially I contacted amazon cogitative that my fastest course of action was to return this watch and repurchase another. However that is a decent amount of pain - and who is to say that the younger watch won't have that issue. It's like looking into Eden!
This qui vive for is fantastic! I can't believe how many people complain that this is overpriced! How can you compare the pure beauty of this to some negligible problems like money? Let's be honest most of us have at least a $250k leisure budget each year & this indisputably fits in. If you are trying to save money, buy this watch! Can you measure the importance of being on time always?? Also there are some grand features about this that are not listed here. For example, I bought this watch shortly after both of my arms had been lost in a horrid jenga accident. Only a few short weeks after buying this watch, it grew my arms back for me! Horrific Watch!!!
I bought this take note as a stocking stuffer this past christmas and my son has ranted and raved over this watch! He wears it to public school and also to soccer practice to keep track of when to switch foot training drills. I will be demanding that he garb this to his fifth grade graduation. He looks great in it and I don't like to see him not wear it!

I misplaced this accompany in a box of old junk jewelry. My wife sold this watch for $5 after I broke the crystal. It was warranty for my mortgage. Soon after, my wife left me. She took custody over my kids and left me for this godforsaken diver who she says is a wagerer man than I'll ever be. At first I thought this couldn't get any worse. Without this watch, I couldn't remember the time to take my insulin shots. My diabetes arise to progress and my legs were amputated. I am still lucky that I stole all the treasures from the last Arc and Atlantis when I still had the watch before the bastard could get to it. If only I nothing but didn't crack my crystal when I was time traveling to ride the dinosaurs. I once lent the pocket watch to Guy Pearce, and he traveled 800,000 years into the future. This watch ruined my life. Nevertheless, this was an stirring watch.

The suave every-day watch
The IWC Guide Chrono is an elegant and sporty every-day watch. The large white dials and numbers give it a unrivalled look and also makes it easy to read and practical - especially with the added features of a meeting/date display. I also own a Rolex Submariner but I find myself wearing this one much more often. The sapphire glass is also less reflective than the Submariner thanks to extra anti-thoughtful coatings. I've had this watch for 2.5 years with no problems. Highly recommended!
