Immense watch buuut lacks the guarantee
This is clearly a great watch, it wears just right and looks great.Nevertheless it is sent without a state guarantee, given that it is an expensive watch I believe this should be a must.That's why I didn't give 5 stars, it casts qualms about its authenticity.

It is light to cast marks over the steel details in front of the watch. Machine is good, but noisy as well, it is a abundant watch.

Appealing Watch
There are many variations of this mould, Riviera, and many colors for this variation. But be sure to get this one with the rubber strap as opposed to bracelet and black dial as opposed to light-skinned and 3 white chrono/seconds circles as opposed to 2 and lastly, the non-rotating bezel. Why? This is a extinct-ringer for the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore! Well, as least from far away and to non-watch savvy admirers. The Queenlike Oak Offshore is a really beautiful watch but cost just way too much (into the tens of thousands). By getting this, it's almost a cheaper style of it except of course it's not AP and it's not an octagonal shaped case but one of a twelve-sided polygon. This is still a beautiful BM watch and nothing to be sheepish of with precision timing and chronograph function. You'll save a nice chunk of change and still own a bonny, working watch that looks like the Royal Oak but yet is not a knock-off.

Spectacular & elegant watch - worth every penny!
In the long run splurged on a high end Swiss made watch and so glad I did. Hesitant at first to purchase from Amazon but no miss to have worried. Came in the original box and packaging - very impressive. Difficult to determine from picture the faithful size on wrist. I'm petite and have small wrists and the watch is perfectly proportioned - doesn't have under control my arm/wrist with band or dial. It's simply gorgeous! Had my local jeweler (approved Baume & Mercier)to take out a couple links and the sales person was remarking what a beautiful watch and she'd make persuaded my $5,000 investment was taken care of properly! Couldn't be happier or more delighted with this purchase - it's such a steal. Thanks Amazon!

I ordered two B&M watches from Amazon, one is the 8550 Riviera. Both came on outdated, packaging was awesome and the watches are great.Would definitely come back here next time. Price is so much less than the retail stores

I had a lot of problems!!!!!!
I bougth this to three months ago, the bottom to change the date is broken and amazon warranty didn't change the be on the watch they said that fix the watch, but that is open the watch and a luxury watch doesn't must open the observe, now they couldn't solve the problem and I have to remain with it damaged.
Classic and immortal
I bought this a few period ago and am really happy with the purchase. I have been following this watch for a while and have been to jewellers to get a price on this item and also to cognizant of more about the brand. Baume & Mercier is one of the oldest watch makers ever! The Riviera is a classic piece that doesn't look flat, even though it was first created in the 70s'. It is light on the wrist and suitable for all occasions. I like it and would strongly recommend it! Thanks Amazon!
My new favorite chronometer
This is a eager looking watch, and I've never seen it on anyone else, which living in Los Angeles is a big deal. I wrestled with myself for a month about getting this surveillance. I usually get immediate buyer's remorse as soon as I succumb to my addiction and hit BUY on something as frivolous and overpriced as a prominence timepiece, but the second I opened the box and saw this baby that all went away. I love the juxtaposition of the matte insidious finish on the bezel and dial against the polished steel of the case and subtle detailing of the chrono dial. The dial itself is genuinely stunning with just the right amount of orange to black contrast. A great masculine, supple looking watch, but not so much that its ostentatious. (Not to step on any toes, but come on Panerai, its big enough already) The chronograph wing is of the highest quality, very crisp and substantial when you push the buttons and pull the crown, like you would want from a premiere Swiss watch house like B&M. Skilful watch, solid construction
I've already received without number compliments on this watch. I'm very happy with the purchase. Currently it is enjoying more wrist time than many of my other watches (including a very envious IWC Portuguese). It's my 4th automatic watch so far, and the first that doesn't have a leather strap. Hand-crafted cold movements are definitely the way to go.The sailcloth strap turns out to be a good material for diving or swimming, and also gives the babysit for an elegant yet casual feel. The watch is rather heavy, and has a solid presence, as most well built unavoidable watches should. Also, I have a very small wrist, but I'm able to pull off this watch without it looking ridiculous at all. I should also call that the strap has a deployant clasp (not sure if the pictures on amazon show that), which is an added bonus. I maintain the movement to be a Valjoux 7750 - the same as in the IWC Portuguese Chronograph, as well as many other pieces.The only complaint I would have...

I can't conflict with any of the reviews posted - I ended up purchasing this watch without even trying it on, and there is no buyers remorse here.This archetype of B&M is no longer available by the manufacturer, which is why Amazon is marking it down a hefty 63% (at the time of this criticism).All I can say is get one while it is in stock. To give a little bit of background, I currently own a Movado (also a beautiful watch, see my other reviews) and I was looking for something a bit more trendy and casual. I tried on a few Tags to see how they would feel, but none of them had the same character as this watch, and they all felt very bulky on my smaller wrists.Not this one. The impressive dial is offset by a beautiful sailcloth strap which accentuates the whole piece. The movement (including chronograph) is eerily reminiscent of the Tags I tried on. A classic slim camouflage watch.
Todays watches are becoming ridiculously mammoth and uncomfortable. This watch is so slim and light you can forget you are wearing it.It contains a fine swiss move which is musical to hear, and has a sapphire crystal to resist scratches.The roman numerals and 13 grams of gold ingots blend in seamlessly.The date is large enough to be read without a magnifier.This is a classic timepiece.

Kind but the band leaves a lot to be desired
The eye thin, looks great, keeps really good time, but...... the band is so dim-witted that I have had the band replace 3 times under warranty as it keeps breaking. After warranty repairs sucks as the bills add up. I don't suppose I could recommend the watch based on my first hand experience with it. Buy it if you only plan on wearing it rarely. I have a substantial collection of watches and i think i liked this one too much and wore out the bands.

Not convinced what the other reviewer...
Literally has a problem with. Does he just think its ugly? What about the quality of the watch? baume et Mercier is second to none. If you like the cut of this watch based on the picture you will love this watch. If you are obsessed with James Bond and hankering to dress like him then you obviously you may want to look elsewhere. But if you want an expertly crafted richness watch from a company known the world over then this may be the watch for you.

Initially I saw them in the department store and despite having in my personal collection 2 OmegaS, Breitling and Panerai, I firmly obvious to buy this perfect "time-keeper" one day, and not by the reasons of the very ETA's 2893-2 caliber or 11 grams of "yellow ally" :) used in this model but thanks to its overall perception and feasibility.Passed some months and one day on the very Amazon they appeared with a very-very wholesome promotional price...
